The Boeing E-4B model plane comes with a handsome mahogany-based chrome pedestal, and to ensure that it is ready for delivery, it undergoes various stages of quality control before being placed in its box. The Boeing E-4B model airplane is perfect as an addition to a growing collection or as an exquisite gift to a loved one.
Boeing E-4B History:
The Boeing E-4B, a militarized version of the Boeing 747-200, is a four-engine, swept-wing, long range, high altitude aircraft capable of being refueled in flight. It serves as the National Airborne Operations Center for the National Command Authorities. In case of national emergency or destruction of ground command control centers, the E-4B provides a modern, highly survivable, command, control and communications center to direct US forces, execute emergency war orders and coordinate actions by civil authorities.
To provide direct support to the National Command Authorities, at least one E-4B is always on alert at one of many selected bases throughout the world. The E-4B evolved from the E-4A, which had been in service since late 1974. The first B model was delivered to the Air Force in January 1980, and by 1985 all aircraft were converted to B models. In August 1994, the E4B aircraft assumed an additional role. It will support the Federal Emergency Management Agency's request for assistance when a natural disaster, such as a hurricane, typhoon or earthquake occurs.
*Alteration on the design such as change of paint schemes and markings or embodied features on our models occurs at any time. Detachable stand is included with the model which may vary from the photo.
