Cessna Citation is a light corporate jet manufactured by Cessna.
Cessna became the first of the big three American manufacturers to develop a jet powered transport. Cessna announced plans to build a new eight place jet powered business aircraft capable of operating into airfields. It was dubbed as the Fanjet 500 and the prototype first flew on September 15, 1969 and later it was named as the Citation. Citation received its FAA certification on September 9, 1971.
Cessna Citation has a maximum speed of 647 km/h. It has a crew of two pilots and optional main cabin layouts for five, six or seven passengers. Citation incorporates two 9.79 kN Pratt & Whitney JT15D-1 turbofans.
