Comanche RAH-66 Model
Helicopter: Extremely Detailed and
Finely Crafted
We bring you the
Comanche RAH-
66 model helicopter
that is finely handcrafted using the
best materials to produce a quality
outcome that matches the original
RAH 66 Comanche. Our RAH-66
helicopter model is brought to life by
a talented team who works hard to
make it look as realistic as possible.
First it is handcrafted by master
craftsmen, followed by several
priming and sanding processes.
Gifted artists then refer to images to
paint on the details to match those
of the actual Comanche RAH-66
helicopter. A final coat of clear
lacquer not only protects the details,
but also provides a glossy
finish.
The Comanche RAH66
model helicopter goes through
many stages of quality control to
ensure that it is ready for delivery.
The Comanche RAH66 model
helicopter is mounted on a
mahogany-based chrome pedestal,
so you can display it as soon as it
arrives. Our Comanche
RAH66 model helicopter,
a scaled mirror image of the actual
Comanche helicopter, makes a
perfect addition to your collection or
gift to aviation enthusiasts and
hobbyists.
RAH-66 Comanche
History:
The Comanche will replace
obsolete AH-1 and OH-58 attack and
observation helicopters. The
Comanche has capabilities
demanded of a smaller force
structure, such as: improved
mobility, increased survivability and
dramatically reduced costs.
The RAH-66 Comanche is
reconnaissance attack helicopter
manufactured by Boeing Helicopters
and Sikorsky Aircraft
Corporation. The RAH-66
was intended for reconnaissance
role.
The RAH-66's maiden flight was
on January 4, 1996. The
RAH-66 can operate at night and in
bad weather for its sophisticated
detection and navigation
systems. The primary user of
the RAH-66 was the United States
Army. In 2004, the first RAH-
66 entered service with the US Army
and planned to purchase almost
1,300 Comanches to fill the scout
and light attack roles. On
February 23, 2004, the US Army
decided to cancel the Comanche
helicopter program because they to
provide funds to renovate the
existing helicopter fleet of aging
attack, utility and reconnaissance
aircraft. Another reason is the
growing popularity of Unmanned
Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) for
reconnaissance purposes.
Technology developed for the
Comanche will be integrated into the
Apache and other US military
helicopter developments.
*Alteration on the design such as change of paint schemes and markings or embodied features on our models occurs at any time. Detachable stand is included with the model which may vary from the photo.
