Boeing F4B Biplane, Navy History:
The F4B Biplane, also known as Boeing P-12, is a Navy-Carrier Based Fighter manufactured by Boeing Aircraft. It was primarily used by the United States Army Air Force, the United States Navy, and the Philippine Army Air Corps. Its maiden flight took place in 1929 and it was introduced in 1930. The engine used for the F4B Biplane was the Pratt and Whitney R-1340-16 Radial. It weighs 2,354 lbs when empty.
It was the F4B Biplane that replaced the Navy F2B/F3B and Army PW-8 fighters. There were only a few refinements on the features but basically there wasn't much of a difference between the F4B and the other aircrafts it replaced. However its performance is still evidently better. The F4B Biplane accommodates only 1 personnel and has a speed of 188 mph or 303 km/h.
The F4B Biplane served as the primary carrier based fighter aircraft. It was used in the service for support and training roles until it retired in 1940s. It was the last biplane fighter with wooden wings that was produced by Boeing and used by the US Navy. Later on, it was replaced by the Grumman biplane fighters which were faster than the F4Bs.

While the full price will show in the shopping cart and on your receipt, we will only charge your card an initial deposit equal to 50% of the retail price. We will charge the remaining balance once production is complete and your model is prepared for shipping.
