Rain hampers recovery efforts from Airblue plane crash

Pakistani Jetliner Crash Left No Survivors
Last Wednesday, an Airblue Airbus A321 passenger jet crashed in Islamabad, Pakistan killing all 152 on board.
The plane went down in a wooded area near the Pakistani capital. Imatiaz Elahi, chairman of the Capital Development Authroity in India, said “It is a great tragedy, and I confirm it with pain that there are no survivors.”

CARGO PLANE CRASHED AT SAUDI’S RIYADH AIRPORT
Last Tuesday, a Lufthansa cargo plane crashed at the Saudi capital’s Riyadh airport leaving no major casualties according to the airline and Saudi’s civil aviation authorities.

L-20A (U-6A) Beaver History:
The L-20A (U-6A) "Beaver" was manufactured by deHavilland Aircraft of Canada, Ltd. Nearly 1,700 DHC-2 Beavers were built by DeHavilland Canada between 1947 and 1967.
The L 20A Beaver is an STOL utility transport aircraft for the US Army and was later redesignated U-6A in 1962. The Beaver became a symbol of the Canadian north and has been used as a bush plane all over the world. The Beaver was capable of being equipped with wheels, skis, standard floats or amphibious floats.
The L20 Beaver entered the Korean War and has been proven to be a superb liaison aircraft and also served in Vietnam. The primary mission of the L20A was aerial evacuation of litter and ambulatory patients. Other missions include courtier service, passenger tranpsort, light cargo hauling, reconnaissance, rescue and aerial photography.
