About the P-51 Mustang
The P-51 Mustang, designed and produced by North American, is the one of the most famous, effective fighter aircraft in history. It became one of the conflict's most successful and recognizable aircraft of World War II.
The P-51 Mustang, known as the "Cadillac of the Sky", was the excellent long range fighter aircraft which since late 1943 was the first to provide US heavy bombers with the type of escort they needed in order to efficiently destroy Nazi Germany's war production. Unlike earlier shorter-range allied fighters used for bomber escort, like the Spitfire, the P-47 and the P-38, the new P-51 Mustang was the first fighter which could escort the heavy bombers all the way to their targets very deep in Germany and back. It was equal or better than the Luftwaffe's best fighters and could defeat them over their own territory.

While the full price will show in the shopping cart and on your receipt, we will only charge your card an initial deposit equal to 50% of the retail price. We will charge the remaining balance once production is complete and your model is prepared for shipping.
