There is an extra charge for retractable gear aircraft, when the gear is requested down. We have to make or carve out the wheel wells, add gear doors, and fabricate the wheels, hubs, oleo struts, brake lines, hydraulic lines and actuators etc. Not easy….time consuming and slows down production at every phase.
