I am forwarding these photos as you requested in our last telephone contact. As you can see I have them in a place of honor on my shelves right next to the other aircraft I flew during my USAF career; the FB-111 to the right and the C-124 and C-123 above left and the T-39 and others to the upper right. The other aircraft in the left of the wide frame of all the aircraft are the Bellanca my uncle Russell Boardman flew to Istanbul from New York City in 1931 and the GB R-2 he flew later to win the Thomson and other trophies until his death in the GB in 1933. at the time of his competition and death in the GB aircraft Russell owned a significant interest in Granville Brothers Air Racing Association which built and operated the GBs. A flyable copy of the BG R-2 is in the New England Air Museum in Hartford, CT. I think you have the GB, yellow and black with a number 4 on it. That aircraft is in the Boeing Air Museum in Seattle, WA.
