F-35C JSF/CV USN History:
The F-35C Joint Strike Fighter, by the United States Navy, has a bigger wing that can be folded and bigger control surfaces for better control in low speeds. It also has well built landing gears for the pressure of carrier landings. These mechanisms connect to the common-geometry wing box on the manufacture line. When matched up to the F/A-18C Hornet, the F-35C has two times the range on internal fuel. Its larger wing area supplies improved in range and payloads. It achieved the same aim as the bigger F/A-18E and F/A-18F Super Hornet aircrafts.
The United States Navy planned to purchase 480 of F-35C aircrafts as a replacement on the F/A-18A, F/A-18-B, F/A-18-C, and F/A-18-D Hornets. On June 27 2007, it finished its Air System Critical Design Review that allowed the aircraft on low rate initial production. In 2012, it is anticipated to be available.
On December 16 2000, it made its first flew as one of the variants in the Lockheed Martin Joint Strike Fighter aircrafts. Later on, it started a sequence of envelope expansion flights and on January 25 2001, it accomplished tanker requirement tests with air-to-air refuels with the United States Air Force KC-10. On January 31 2001, it made its first supersonic flight before being transferred the Edwards Air Force Base in California to Patuxtent River Naval Air Station in Maryland.
The F-35C will take on the capacity lost when the A-6 Intruder leave the service for the United States Navy in February 1997. The wings of the F-35C has a span of nine feet more than the F-35A and F-35B variants. It also has a sneaky missionized 25 mm gun. The battle radius on internal fuel was bigger than 700 NM, twice the range of the aircraft that it was going to replace.
*Alteration on the design such as change of paint schemes and markings or embodied features on our models occurs at any time. Detachable stand is included with the model which may vary from the photo.
