Pakistani Jetliner Crash Left No Survivors
Last Wednesday, an Airblue Airbus A321 passenger jet crashed in Islamabad, Pakistan killing all 152 on board.
The plane went down in a wooded area near the Pakistani capital. Imatiaz Elahi, chairman of the Capital Development Authroity in India, said “It is a great tragedy, and I confirm it with pain that there are no survivors.”

CARGO PLANE CRASHED AT SAUDI’S RIYADH AIRPORT
Last Tuesday, a Lufthansa cargo plane crashed at the Saudi capital’s Riyadh airport leaving no major casualties according to the airline and Saudi’s civil aviation authorities.

XF-85 Goblin History:
The McDonnell XF-85 Goblin was a fighter aircraft, conceived during World War II. It was nicknamed "The Flying Egg" due to its small and rotund appearance.
The XF-85 was developed to protect B-36 bombers flying beyond the range of conventional escort fighters. Planners envisioned a "parent" B-36 carrying the XF-85 in the bomb bay, and if enemy fighters attacked, the Goblin would have been lowered on a trapeze and released to combat the attackers. Once the enemy had been driven away, the Goblin would return to the B-36, hook onto the trapeze, fold its wings and be lifted back into the bomb bay.
Two test XF-85 aircraft were ordered in October 1945, and flight testing took place in 1948. The program ended in late 1949 when aerial refueling of conventional fighter aircraft showed greater promise.
