Hawker Sea Fury History:
The Hawker Sea Fury fighter-bomber was the result of a British wartime design specification which called for certain performance levels to be met by the new aircraft. The Hawker design team began by modifying the Hawker Tempest into a smaller, lightweight version.
The first flight of the Fury took place on September 1, 1944. Production contracts for the airplane had already been placed, with 200 land-based Furies to be delivered to the Royal Air Force, and another 200 carrier-based Sea Furies to be delivered to the Fleet Air Arm.
Early in the Korean War, Sea Furies operated very successfully in the ground attack role from the decks of Royal Navy aircraft carriers. Sea Furies were also exported to several other countries including the Netherlands, Pakistan, Egypt, Burma, Cuba and Iraq.

Our "Made to Order" line consists of aircraft, ships, helicopters, space craft, plaques, and other models that we commence production on once we receive your order. These models are made to match the image you see here using blueprints and specs on-hand in our production facility. Production & Delivery time for a Made To Order model is approximately 12-14 weeks.
While the full price will show in the shopping cart and on your receipt, we will only charge your card an initial deposit equal to 50% of the retail price. We will charge the remaining balance once production is complete and your model is prepared for shipping.
