DC3 Caribbean Airlines History:
The Douglas DC-3 was an airliner and transport aircraft. It was used by Caribbean Airlines, the national airline of Trinidad and Tobago. Development of the DC-3 traces back to the earlier oneoff Douglas Commercial 1 (DC1) and subsequent DC2 which made their first flights in 1933 and 1934 respectively. In 1934 American Airlines requested that Douglas develop a larger more capable version of the DC2 for transcontinental US sleeper flights. The resulting DC-3 (or DST - Douglas Sleeper Transport as it then was) flew for the first time on December 17 1935.

These models are made to match the image you see here using blueprints and specs on-hand in our production facility. Production & Delivery time for a Made To Order model is approximately 12-14 weeks.
While the full price will show in the shopping cart and on your receipt, we will only charge your card an initial deposit equal to 50% of the retail price. We will charge the remaining balance once production is complete and your model is prepared for shipping.
